Goals and Purpose

Education and access to information is a vital component of navigating our society, and can prove a barrier to many newcomers, who may have little to no experience with English or who haven’t had access to proper schooling before coming to the United States. As such we offer a variety of educational programs to support newcomers in achieving their educational goals and become more confident in their ability to navigate a largely English-speaking country.

Services Provided

Youth and Women ESL Classes

In many cases childcare can present a large barrier for mothers to attend ESL classes due to a lack of affordable childcare. In order for mothers to learn English it’s imperative that classes are structured to not impede with childcare. Therefore, intergenerational ESL classes present a wonderful solution. They are a great way to help smaller children learn and a way to work around the aforementioned barriers. Courses are $25 an hour for 2-hour courses, or $1,000 for the full 8-week course.

ESL Programs for Adults and Youth

We are hosting three classes starting in June all of which will focus on ESL, Social Adjustment and Community Orientation, we have one for youth currently in K-8 education, youth currently in High School and a course specifically for mothers and their children. Courses are $25 an hour for 2-hour courses, or $1,000 for the full 8-week course.

Classes meet M-W-F from 1-3pm during the summer and 3-5pm during the school year for students.
