Community Flea - Cupcake, October Newsletter.jpg

On September 21st and 22nd, the US Together Cleveland office was proudly featured in the Cleveland Fall Flea. This two day event drew thousands of attendees and provided a much needed space for micro businesses to gain macro level exposure. The Cleveland office secured three booths for the event plus an additional table to display information about US Together. We featured a variety of our Micro-enterprise Development clients.  Among our refugee artisan collective, we featured Abu Janty Syrian Soul Bracelets by Mohamed; deserts and pastries by From Scratch LLC by Nadiia (pictured); food from Habesha Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine; handmade Nepali jewelry by Nar and Tila; hand painted cards and glass by Mariia K Moments; handmade clutches and hats by Nadiia; and jewelry and hand-knit vests by Mangali. More than half of our artisans sold out before the event was over and it was the most successful event, we had through the MED MORE program. Our information booth, manned by the two AmeriCorps VISTA members, featured brochures and volunteer information about US Together. The VISTAs were able to garner a high interest of volunteers and community interest.
