Internship Opportunities
Internships are a 15-hour in-person commitment per week. We will be accepting applications for the fall semester until Sunday, July 24th. The first day of summer internships will be August 22nd and conclude the week of December 9th. Join US Together in Our Mission: Volunteer
Volunteering is a rewarding experience on behalf of both the client and volunteer. Throughout the duration of their work, volunteers develop close relationships with our clients and families, gain cultural perspectives, and witness the process of refugee and immigrant integration firsthand. Volunteers routinely help clients overcome barriers to integration and work with them to reach their self-sufficiency goals through unique opportunities such as cultural integration activities and language proficiency practice.
Volunteer Opportunities
Move-in assistance (help transport donations/set up items to clients’ new home; set up beds/furniture; set up household items/place items in respective places)
Job Readiness / Financial Literacy Tutoring
Grocery Store Guide (transportation to store and back home with educational piece on how to use SNAP/WIC cards)
Family or Individual Mentoring
Conversation Partners
Requirements and Details
We are proud to provide volunteer and internship opportunities in Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo. We consider applicants from high school age and up. If you would like to volunteer or intern with us, please read the following information and contact us below at the respective office:
All volunteers and/or Interns must be willing to complete an orientation and be able to pass a criminal background check at their own expense.
Each position will have its own minimum requirements.
If you have any special skills (e.g. dance, art, etc.) that you would like to share with our clients, we would love to talk with you.
