Last week, news broke that the Trump administration is lowering the Fiscal Year 2020 refugee admissions ceiling to 18,000, the lowest number in the history of the U.S Refugee Admissions program, which began in 1980. We are deeply saddened by this news. According to the U.N Refugee Agency (UNHCR), there are 25.9 million refugees in the world - the highest ever recorded. Now is the time to support refugee resettlement, rather than ignore global humanitarian needs.

As an agency dedicated to serving refugees, we promise to continue our work with the resources that are still available. We understand refugees deserve the chance to build a better life after experiencing trauma, pain, and persecution. To read our official statement, click here.
