Mariia and Olena, founders of La Crepe Bakery and Café
La Crepe Bakery and Café was founded by Mariia Grygorchuk and Olena Firman, immigrants from Western Ukraine! Mariia and Olena moved to the U.S. over a decade ago, and opened their Bakery and Café four years ago. In a Cleveland.com news article on the bakery, Olena describes her experience with crepes growing up in Ukraine, stating “I grew up making them and we'd have them for everyday meals.” Mariia and Olena also talk about why they choose to have their shop in the heart of Berea, describing the European feel of the town and the many Baldwin Wallace students who come by to try their food!
The bistro-style eatery's menu will also include a Panini selection, as well as soft drinks, cappuccino, coffee, tea and an assortment of dessert pastries, and a gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options for panini and crepes! Some of the wonderful sweet crepes on the menu include the Cherry and Crème, Brie and Strawberry, and Sweet Goat Cheese Crepes! And a few of the amazing savory crepes like the Ham and Brie, Pesto, and Breakfast Crepes! While you wait for your crepes to be made to order by Olena or Mariia, sip on some of La Crepe’s tasty coffee drinks such as the Beet Root Latte, Latte Macchiato, or the Turmeric Latte and Steamed Milk!
