Storehouse Tea, located at 3619 Walton Ave Suite 101, Cleveland, OH 44113, was founded by Paula Hershman in 2007. As Paula was transitioning from her graphic design business she discovered the joys and health benefits of fresh, great tasting organic loose leaf tea, she decided to start her own certified organic and Fair Trade tea business called Storehouse Tea.

Storehouse Tea is Fair Trade Certified meaning their business empowers farmers and farm  workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace. They try to purchase as much Fair Trade tea as possible, so that they can give back to these communities. The majority of tea pickers in the biggest tea-producing regions are women. As a female business owner, Storehouse Tea is grateful to these beautiful, skillful and hard-working tea pickers for providing their company with amazing tea leaves and want to pay them fairly for the work they do.

On the Storehouse Tea site, Paula describes her Fair Trade business in Cleveland, stating:

“We moved to the Hildebrandt Building in Ohio City in 2015 to be closer to energy and vibrancy of downtown Cleveland, proximity to the refugee population, and to be part of the artist/food artisans in the building. We believe in making an impact on current and future generations and the earth we all share, which is why we source and blend certified Organic and Fair Trade Teas. We source from sustainable farmers both locally and internationally. We employ locals, recent immigrants and refugees from around the world to small batch hand blend and package our teas.

Paula understands that refugees and immigrants are some of the most hardworking and dedicated groups of people in Cleveland, and that is why she strives to support that community through Storehouse Tea.

At Storehouse Tea, you can find over 60 varieties of both loose-leaf and sachet teas. Some of these options include Early Grey Lavender Organic Black Tea, Jasmine Blossom Organic Green Tea, Red Raspberry Organic White Tea and Ginger Mint Organic Wellness Blend. You can also find teaware like travel mugs, pots, honey and more! Be sure to follow Storehouse Tea on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on the wonderful teas they’re producing! You can use your coupon from the US Together coupon book to Storehouse Tea at their production facilities on Tea Tuesdays, or at One World Shop in Rocky River!

We hope you are inspired to support Storehouse Tea, US Together, and the other businesses featured in our holiday coupon book by donating to our holiday fundraising campaign! Your donation will directly help us continue serving the Cleveland refugee community during these uncertain times. We truly appreciate your support!
