Refugee and Immigrant-Owned Business Coupon Book Spotlight: Part 5

This holiday season, Cleveland is preparing to welcome the highest number of refugees since the Clinton Administration. During this time, US Together is excited to do our part in helping our new friends integrate into their new Cleveland communities. US Together will be assisting 450 refugees and 150 Afghan Paroles in their resettlement process over the next year alone.

To support this tremendous cause, US Together is running the Second-Annual Refugee and Immigrant Owned Business Coupon Book. Sabir’s Gemstones is owned by an Afghan refugee currently enrolled in US Together Cleveland’s Microenterprise Development (MED) Program. The owner started his business selling gemstones because he wanted to share the beauty and culture of his native Afghanistan with customers here in the United States while also supporting local markets back home.

Sabir’s Gemstones LLC provides quality gemstones, crystals, and minerals from Afghanistan. They offer a variety of high-quality stones and beautiful stone decorations, including onyx, calcite, lapis, and tourmaline. They sell gemstone massagers and raw gemstones shaped like pillars, apples, hearts, balls, stars, moons, and more, which make perfect gifts.

You’re Bee-autiful!

You're Bee-autiful is owned by Sasha, a new American of Slavic descent. Sasha came to the U.S. with her family in 2019 and currently lives with her husband and two children in Parma. When Sasha came to the United States, she looked everywhere for good tights and scarves because, like many Slavic people, she wears these to church every Sunday. When she noticed these items were hard to find, she decided to start a business to provide these items that people in her community needed. You're Bee-autiful sells high-quality tights imported from Europe and scarves made by Sasha.
