Remote Learning Mentorship Program mentor and mentees meeting each other for the first time!

As we prepare to celebrate International Children’s Day on June 13th, we are simultaneously preparing for our Summer Youth Program! What exactly is the Summer Youth Program you might be wondering? We’re glad you asked!

Since the pandemic and remote learning modality have created huge gaps in learning for our clients, US Together aims to help close these gaps with intensive tutoring sessions. Another part of the Summer Youth Program will focus on helping high school aged students prepare for life after school – entering the workforce with employment preparation workshops, apprenticeships, and college preparation. However, not all learning centers on academics. This holistic Summer program will also focus on enrichment activities focused on giving the children experience with art therapy, nature hikes, museum visits, and other events to help them further integrate into their communities, spark curiosity, and promote healing.

In order to bring the Summer Youth Program into fruition, we are incredibly excited to present our Spring fundraiser, in which all funds raised will go towards Cleveland’s refugee youth! Up until National Children’s Day, we will be sharing stories from our staff, volunteers, and youth who will be participating in the program. We hope you will feel inspired to support US Together and the refugee youth we serve during this important time.
