Kubra came to the United States from Iraq as a refugee in 2012. She was born in Baghdad, Iraq. She specializes in fine arts and painting. She wants to encourage other refugees like herself with unique skills to start their own businesses and have a source of income of their own. She incorporates her native language, Arabic, into many of her pieces. She has really appreciated taking part in markets throughout the greater Cleveland area under the Microenterprise Development Program.

Kubra comes from a very talented family of artists. She and her family hope to launch their own art cafe in the Cleveland area in the future.
