US Together Official Statement on Violence at the US Capitol

US Together strongly condemns the violent disruption of the democratic process at the United States Capitol today. Many of our staff and clients—refugees and immigrants to the United States—came to this country, a nation of laws, because they bore witness to similar political violence and non-peaceful transitions of power. Storming the seat of government is, as too many refugees have come to know, the starkest warning sign of democratic failure.

US Together stands against the actions today that threaten the rule of law, democratic freedom, and human rights.
