Our #BigHero: Uma Mishra, Case Manager for Violence Against Women Program

Today US Together is participating in The Columbus Foundation’s online giving rally - the Big Give! This is a wonderful opportunity to support US Together in our mission to continue providing integration services to refugees and immigrants during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While we offer numerous services, this morning we want to highlight our Violence Against Women case manager, Uma Mishra. She is a true #BigGiveHero: Uma has been working with refugee and immigrant women who have experienced domestic violence and/or abuse throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

As courts are flooded with cases and trials are put on hold, Uma has created innovative support systems for women in need. Online meetings and daily check-ins are just a few ways she ensures the safety of her clients.
